SMARTLAB sensors will be monitoring the energy use and indoor environmental conditions of your building. This information about your building will be encrypted and sent directly to a private dashboard that you will be able to access online. The sensor data will be sent using LoRaWAN – a long-range low-power network that can transmit small amounts of data across the city.

This means you won’t need to have broadband to participate, and your data will be transferred securely. Your private dashboard is designed by project partner Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), who have already done extensive work on the Limerick Digital Twin with Limerick City and County Council.
