The SMARTLAB team was delighted to have a chance to introduce the project to the UL research community and the wider public at the recent UL Research Week. Project Manager Dr Madeleine Lyes gave an introduction to the work of the project, and then the Principal Investigator Prof Stephen Kinsella led a conversation with project partners Cian O’Flaherty (The Convex Lens), Helena Fitzgerald (UL), and Sinead Hourigan (LCCC). Participants were also given a tour of FabLab Limerick, hearing how SMARTLAB is part of a wave of European smart city projects working to demystify sensor technology and support the energy transition.
